Compliance status

This website generally conforms to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines and their latest standards. The nonconformities are listed below.

  • 1.3.1.Info and Relationships
  • The forms on the website encounter issues such as element IDs not being unique, hidden elements having focusable content and container elements being empty. A solution for this is due to be implemented on TBD.

  • 1.3.5.Autocomplete does not work as intended
  • Google Captcha is not something that can be changed therefore meaning it is an issue that cannot be amended. However, this does not affect user journeys and the overall navigability of the website

  • 1.4.4. Text is clipped when resized
  • The text on Google Maps on the vacancy overview page is required to be scaled in order to adhere to this standard. Due to the nature of the way the page is coded, this is something that is difficult to solve. However, this issue does not affect the general user journeys taken and the level of navigability of Bexley Portal

  • 4.1.1. Parsing
  • The success criterion pertaining to “4.1.1. Parsing” was not conformed to therefore meaning the website fails accessibility in this respect. Reasoning for this is primarily because of the forms not having unique element IDs and a solution for this is due to be implemented on TBC.

  • 4.1.2 Name, Role and Value
  • Form fields were not labeled on the registration wizards on the website. Furthermore, there were occasions where there were inline frames without a text alternative that had been detected. To fix the forms, a prolonged period of time is required and has been agreed upon as fixing them within this allotted time period of the creation of the website was found to be unfeasible.
